Belfast is a harbor community with deep historical roots in ship building and was home to many Sea Captains. Many of these fine buildings can be seen while strolling through town.
With its support of the Arts, Belfast has much to offer. The local community Belfast Maskers give truly memorable performances. There are many fine Art Galleries and Craftsman in town as well.

Enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at Heritage Waterfront Park or Belfast City Park, while watching the sailboats and kayaks on the Penobscot Bay. You may even spot a seal, dolphin or eagle.
Excursion boat rides offer sunset cruises, lobster pulls, lobster dinner cruise and lunch cruises to Castine, the home of the Maine Maritime Academy and their training ships. You can also choose a sail boat ride with "hands on" experience.
